Exterior vinyl shutter and siding for remodelers

vinyl installation

Exterior vinyl shutters and siding is the most important part of remodeling because it will make the biggest difference. The house will transform overnight.

Vinyl siding is very inexpensive and really easy to work with. I have seen such a change in aesthetics of a home with only a small investment with vinyl siding and shutters.
Installing vinyl siding
is much easier than you might think it is. I know contractors that charge about $10,000 for labor alone when installing or remodeling with vinyl siding.

You can save that much by doing it all yourself because it takes very little experience.

Here is our home before we installed the vinyl siding. We had all the measurements and had the siding delivered. The house looks terrible in its unfinished condition.

Here is our house after we installed the siding. It made a world of difference in the appearance of our home and we only spent about $1500 in materials which included all
trim, soffit for the deck roof and eave material.

Modern homes use vinyl siding and shutters to take advantage of the weather seal that vinyl offers and to make the home look more attractive.

I have absolutely no clue if stationary shutters have a functional purpose other than looking good. If they do have a purpose, I don’t know what it is. Still they are a nice addition to a new home or a newly remodeled home.

The thing that makes professionally installed siding so expensive is all the labor. Most people don’t feel confident enough to do the work themselves.

It’s important to have a starting point when you
learn how to install vinyl siding.

Measuring and planning any siding project can save a lot of money by reducing mistakes.

I just wanted to say that I love your website. My husband and I followed your instructions on building our own home. Most of the work we did ourselves, but not all. We saved $90,000 in labor costs and now have a beautiful home that we own.

I built my own home doing all my own labor. My house costs me around $70,000 for materials. It took me 8 months to build and is about 2,000 square feet. I didn't think I could do it, but your house web site encouraged me. I used all the info you had.

Thank you,

I can't thank you enough for your free information web site about home building. I was looking for Electrical wiring diagrams when I found your site. It was very helpful.

My wife and I lost our home to foreclosure but we kept a plot of land to start over. We are halfway through the construction of our house. Your website gave us hope to start over and build a house with low payments. We are in our late 60's but we find it rewarding to put so much effort into a project that will reward us for years to come.
