What exactly is an information site? –An information website is a site developed with information in mind, not sales. Information sites are favored by search engines over commercial sites as long as the content is sufficient and relevant to the theme.

What is contextual advertising?–Contextual advertising is when a hyper-linked word or phrase is integrated into the body text of a web page. When clicked, the hyper-link will take the viewer to the linked website.

Why do search engines favor info sites? –The world wide web is also referred to as the ‘information super highway’ not the ‘commercial super highway’. People log onto the internet to learn and discover and also to shop. Search engines, especially Google, favor information sites because they are not trying to extract money out of the public’s pocket.

Why should I advertise on an info site? –Information sites quite often come up in a general search before commercial sites. Most searchers won’t go past the second page of search results when looking for something. By advertising on a high ranking information site, you’ll stand a better chance of being seen than not.

Will the info site continue to grow? –Definitely! This site was built using tried and true methods that please the search engines. Therefore, the search engines favor it and continue to send searchers. Plus, each year more and more people are coming online for the very first time, increasing the traffic overall.

Why does this house building info site look unprofessional and simple? –Websites are compiled in many different ways using many different methods. I choose the look and feel of my site based on 15 years of Internet experience. The average web visitor surfs the net with the intellect equivalent to an eighth-grade education. They’re not dumb, it’s just the degree of attention they give while surfing the net. My web site is fun, entertaining and easy to navigate.

Is there a grace period for monthly payments? –There is a five day grace period following your due date. On the sixth day, your contextual ad or directory listing will be removed. If the price per ad has changed, you’ll have to pay the new price to set up your ad again.

What is the difference between local and global? –Local businesses cater to local customers yet usually have a website detailing their services. Their address and phone number and perhaps photographs of their work are basically online for local potential customers to view. Global businesses cater to both local and global markets. They usually have a product that can be purchased and shipped anywhere. Quite often they have a storefront for local customers also.

Can I place an ad on more than one page? –Yes. The ad and the page content need to be relevant. Example: Siding company advertising on ‘how to install siding’. Most building topics have more than one page of content to advertise on. You are welcome to buy up spots on each relevant page.

Can I request a particular page for my ad? –Yes. Use the contact me form to do so.

Why should I advertise on a growing info site that gets 3,000 visitors a day instead of a popular site getting 30,000 visitors a day? –Most popular sites sell ad space for a very high price and those sites are covered with ads. This causes “ad blindness” which means the site visitor ignores the ads. Growing info sites are an excellent value because they offer “ready to buy” visitors at an excellent price. The ads on each page are few, and the site will keep growing bringing in more traffic over time.

If I decide to cancel my ad will I get a refund? –We will refund any balance on a pro-rated basis. You can contact us through the Contact form box.

I just wanted to say that I love your website. My husband and I followed your instructions on building our own home. Most of the work we did ourselves, but not all. We saved $90,000 in labor costs and now have a beautiful home that we own.

--Sue and Les Carrigan, Draper, Utah

I built my own home doing all my own labor. My house costs me around $70,000 for materials. It took me 8 months to build and is about 2,000 square feet. I didn't think I could do it, but your house web site encouraged me. I used all the info you had.

Thank you,

I can't thank you enough for your free information web site about home building. I was looking for Electrical wiring diagrams when I found your site. It was very helpful.

My wife and I lost our home to foreclosure but we kept a plot of land to start over. We are halfway through the construction of our house. Your website gave us hope to start over and build a house with low payments. We are in our late 60's but we find it rewarding to put so much effort into a project that will reward us for years to come.
